If you are a fan of Jackie Chan movies, then you will like Skiptrace. It's got the usual kung fu, action, humour, etc.
The movie is like a cross between Shanghai Noon and Rush Hour. Mr I-am-so-honourable-and-take-my-job seriously teams up with Mr am-such-a-liar-and-a-cheat-and-can't-take-life-too-seriously on a perilous and goofy adventure.
I especially enjoyed the scene when Jackie Chan's character and a Mongolian tribe were singing Adele's "Rolling in the deep".
Okay, so in this movie, Jackie Chan plays a Hong Kong detective (Bennie Chan) who has been tracking a crime lord known as the matador and whom Bennie believes to be popular business tycoon Victor Wong (Winston Chao). The movie begins where Bennie finds his partner Yung (Eric Tsang) handcuffed and strapped with explosives. With just seconds left before detonation, Yung gives Bennie his watch to remember him by and asked Bennie to protect his daughter, Samantha (Fan Bing Bing). Then Yung leaps into the water and kaboom!
Fast forward to nine years later, Samantha gets in trouble with Wong’s crime syndicate when she’s accused of helping an American con artiste and gambler Connor Watts (Johnny Knoxville) to steal from Wong's Macao casino. Samantha entreats Bennie to find Connor.
Bennie tracks Connor in Siberia where he was kidnapped by a Russian kingpin to answer for impregnating his daughter. Bennie saves Connor and so begins their journey back to Hong Kong. With limited time, Connor trying to escape every chance he gets and two crime syndicates hot on their heels, will Bennie make it in time to save Samantha and expose the identity of the matador?
You got to watch it and laugh along the way to find out.
