The Beauty and the Beast is a remake of the 1991 animated classic which tells the story of Belle (Emma Watson), the beauty in a small town who loves to reads books and wants to live a life of adventure beyond the mundane life of the town. And the Beast (Dan Stevens), an enchanted prince who must find a girl to love and who must love him in return in spite of his looks, in order to free himself and the inhabitants of his castle from a spell.
This film is the same as the original: same songs, same plot with a few additions to give a bit more depth to the story, good CGI, nice visuals and the cast was great. Really liked Luke Evans as Gaston but I felt that Kevin Kline wasn't happy playing the role of Belle's father.
The truth is even with this film staying true to the original, am not blown away by it. Is another Disney animated remake really necessary? Frankly given the original and this version, I choose the original. Anyway, it's a good family movie and is beautiful to watch. Enjoy.
