So we all know that Moonlight won best picture at the Oscars this year. And it's taken me this long to write my review because I recently had to force myself to watch this film a second time just to find out why it was awarded "best picture". Truthfully, it was average and very boring. The film didn't deserve to be nominated let alone win "best picture".
The dialogue was bad: what few words that were spoken felt like nothing was said at all. I couldn't relate to the characters and the plot is nothing special.
So if you haven't seen this film, please don't even try. It's a total waste of time and money.
