So let’s start with the plot shall we; the
world is mourning the loss of Superman and a new threat’s in town and its name
is Steppenwolf (I don’t know where they got that name from, so weak just like
the CGI character). He joins my list of weak villains.
Anyway, Steppenwolf and his gang of parademons
(ugh!) return to earth to find a weapon, sorry weapons cos there are three of
them and they are called motherboxes. Quiz time- and what were they looking to
use them for……. you guessed it….. to destroy the world. I don’t know understand
why all these villains always want to destroy the world and make it ugly
(apparently they have never listened to the song “what a wonderful world” by
Louis Armstrong). I digress, so Batman recruits the other super
heroes and they do what all super heroes do, save the world from the Steppenwolf
and the parademons of this world.
So there you have it, the plot is not anything
new, the CGI was really heavy, absolutely not great at all (am talking about
you especially Steppensheep)
Hated the Bat suit, it’s like every new
installment it gets worse. Looked like Ben Affleck was covered in a lizard’s
skin this time and it did nothing for his chin.
Said it earlier and can’t say it enough, the
villain was weak (thumbs down) at the climax of the movie he was beaten like a
ragdoll by a certain Super hero, I expected the climax to be so much better.
There was a point during the film I kind of
felt like I was watching a bad version of the Avengers with different
characters. I guess this was because director Zack Synder stepped down from
production and Joss Whedon (director of Avengers) was asked to take over.
Even with all of this, truthfully, I enjoyed
the movie. The action scenes were nice, especially liked the action scene after
a certain super hero was resurrected. There was also lots of humor, could not
get enough of Ezra Miller. Gadot and Miller’s performances were good. In addition, I just have to say I was
not paying attention to Jason Mamoa’s acting because his chest was all I could
see (swoon).
Overall, it was a step up from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Can’t wait for Aquaman 2018. Shout out to my friend Josh the good guy for making me enjoy this movie even more. Laterz.
