Mission: Impossible - Fallout

The Mission: Impossible franchise just keeps getting better and better and its one, if not the best, action franchise of all time. Mission: Impossible - Fallout is the sixth instalment and is at the top of this summer's favourite action thrills.

With his age defying looks, Tom Cruise is back as superspy Ethan Hunt and is ready to stop Solomon Lane (the villain in Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation) and his cohorts from using three plutonium cores to annihilate the world. Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Alec Baldwin, Rebecca Ferguson, reprise their roles respectively as Luther, Benji, Alan Hunley and Ilsa Faust. Also returning as director is Christopher McQuarrie, who directed Mission: Impossible – Rogue nation while Jeremy Renner, who was in the last two films didn’t make the cut (you missed out buddy). Added to the cast are Henry Cavill, who plays Agent Walker (a CIA “hammer”) this is for me the best character that Cavill has ever played; and Angela Basset, who plays Erica Sloana (a CIA director).

The duo of Cruise and McQuarrie really pushed the bar on this one and the cast showed that they were up to the task, Mission: Impossible - Fallout is truly beyond expectation. I loved every moment of this movie; the espionage, action, stunts, dialogue. Any plot holes or anything that doesn’t make any sense is forgiven (I don’t even care). And of course I can’t talk about the Mission: Impossible franchise without talking about Tom Cruise, he is an actor who lives and puts his life on the line to entertain audiences. How does this guy do it at over 50 years of age? I mean he broke his bones jumping from one rooftop to another not to talk of the other crazy stunts in the film, if that is not dedication then I don’t know what is. It is mind boggling, there is no green screen in this movie, the man does his own stunts and runs like a man in his twenties.

I could praise Mission: Impossible - Fallout and Tom Cruise all day because they are definitely worth it, check it out. Laterz.
