What Men Want

I actually felt lazy writing about What Men Want, why, maybe because it’s just one of those comedies that tickles your bones for a moment and that’s it. Anyway, What Men Want is a romantic fantasy comedy, it stars Taraji P. Henson, Josh Brener, Richard Roundtree, Erykah Badu, among others.

Taraji stars as Ali Davis, a successful sports agent who works in a male dominated management agency. She becomes determined to sign rising basketball star, Jamal Barry when she is over-looked for a well deserved promotion. If you have seen 2000 What Women Want, it’s the same pattern with Taraji playing Mel Gibson’s role and hearing men’s thoughts instead of women’s. And she uses her ability to her advantage to gain the promotion she longed for and recognition as one of the guys. At the end she realizes that she doesn’t have to prove anything to anybody but herself….. and yeah she finds love too.

So that’s What Men Want in a nutshell and expect some funny moments in between. It’s a cool, funny, not-so-memorable movie which plays out smoothly. The only real fire was Taraji, and like Mel Gibson, she played her role beautifully.

So relax with What Men Want anytime you feel bored and need a few laughs. Laterz
